James Liggett CPA holds a B.S. in Accounting/Management Information Systems from Drexel University. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the state of New York.

For almost 30 years, Jim Liggett CPA worked for various large and medium sized companies, such as RBSM LLP. MLZ Partners LLP and Outsource Partners International were co-founded by him. He served as a partner of Liggett & Webb P.A. in New York until September 2020. He is currently a managing director at Liggett, Melzer & Joshi CPAs P.C.

Jim Liggett CPA worked extensively in corporate consulting, private industry, and public accounting during his years in industry. He provides audit and management advisory services to private and public companies in various industries through his own accounting practice. Among the industries represented are software, telecommunications, technology services, financial services, bio-technologies, and wholesale/distribution.

James Liggett CPA also maintains a large clientele of individual clients for whom he provides tax advice and prepares tax returns for both individuals and businesses. Additionally, he provides tax planning and compliance assistance to high-net-worth individuals and Joint Defense Funds.

In addition to being a member of the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants, James Liggett CPA is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
